No cows on the road in Canada

Having just returned home from two months in India a couple of days ago the jet lag is in full force as I sit up writing at 230am, truth be told I was awaken by a friend who spent an hour talking to me about my experience and reminding me to look at what I had learned there and apply it instead of brushing it aside now that I am back to the comfort of home.
He really got me to thinking of this blog and how I have neglected it, how excited I am when I cook a new dish and how it rarely ends up here on this blog. How I need to step out of my comfort, step up and spend more time on the things that make me truly happy.
"Believe in yourself," he said, "Make decisions for you" He went on to say that he knows I understand the bigger picture in life and that I just need to remember to keep looking at it instead of seeing the right now and drowning in it. To BELIEVE in myself and remember how many people believe in me. "You are one the the most special persons in this world, Remember this."
So here I am back to clean running water, clean food and no cows on the road, the place I thought I'd feel at home has become the strangest of realities and it no longer seems relevent or real.
